VBS for Grown Ups has everything the original has, except maybe snacks.  Well, OK, Pastor Glenn brought snacks on the 22nd, but probably no crafts.

June 15th:  Joseph -- Trusting God In the Dark
Joseph had many setbacks but he never lost faith and was ultimately rewarded.

June 22nd:  Mephibosheth -- Living with Your Wounds  2 Samuel 9
Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan was crippled as a toddler when dropped by his nurse. Years later King David brought him to live in the palace and eat as his own table out of respect for his father's memory. Emphasis on kindness to the needy/disabled and being honored beyond what we deserve despite our various 'wounds'.
 
June 29th:  Zacchaeus  "Hide & Seek"  Luke 19  with "substitute teacher" Kent McDonald

July 6th:  Paul - "The Prison Break"  Acts 16:22-34 with teacher Barb Wharton, associate pastor

July 13th:  David - "Messy Life BUT great perspective" with Jake Balyeat, Worship

how can our faith impact the entire planet?

As people who want to learn to follow Jesus, we long to learn to care for a hurting world like He did. And the scriptures remind us that 'when Jesus saw the crowds He was moved with compassion'. If we want to have compassionate hearts we've got to get "out of the house".
