Parents of the ROCK,
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus! I hope you are enjoying these last few weeks of summer. I see that the back-to-school sales are already in full swing, which (as always) feels WAY too early!
This ROCK report is going to be a short one this month, mostly due to the fact that our summer schedule and calendar have been out for quite some time now, and if there are any questions about times and dates for youth group and youth group activities, you can check out our website at www.timberview.org at the "for students" page or pick up a calendar at church at the information booth.
The only bit of new information I have for you is our Timberview drive-in movie nights are coming up this August! Check out the website for all the information you need: times, movies, dates ect. We always have a blast at the TCF drive-in movies...they are a great time for the whole family!!
Finally, I am sending this ROCK report mostly as a petition for your prayers for Mitch Thomas. We are calling all believers to prayer. Mitch's prognosis is not good. His Leukemia has returned very aggressively, and at this point there is not much that the doctors can do. We are asking that you join with us in asking the Lord for a miracle, and for His abiding presence of peace and joy for the Thomas family and Chelsea Koppnick, his fiancee'. We are resting in the fact that God is good, no matter what.
